چکیده
Introduction: Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is an autoimmune disorder that can cause vascular involvement. The changes be seen in the bed of nails. It was observed SLE has a relationship with bone mineral density (BMD) changes. Objectives: This study aimed to investigate frequency and types capillaroscopic change its between BMD SLE. Patients Methods: Thirty-three patients who were referred Resalat hospital (Tehran, Iran) underwent nailfold capillaroscopy (NFC). In addition, these evaluated for from spine hip. Moreover, correlation data assessed. Result: Scleroderma pattern 12.12% patients, non-scleroderma (NSP) 27.3% normal 60.6% based on NFC. There no gender mean age 43.30 years 78.8% female. Dimension morphological abnormalities had scleroderma (P=0.033 P=0.014 respectively). abnormality too (P=0.013). Conclusion: NFC good method evaluating this method, abnormal morphology dimension have higher prevalence than other Additionally, spinal osteoporosis detected.

متن کامل[bone Mineral Density in Patients with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus--our Results].
INTRODUCTION Patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) are at an increased risk of developing low bone mass (LBM) or osteoporosis, either because of the disease itself or due to its treatment. Osteoporosis and osteoporotic fractures significantly contribute to morbidity and mortality. We aimed to determine the associations of bone mineral density (BMD) changes with the duration of SLE, a...

We evaluated spine bone mineral density (BMD) in Brazilian children with juvenile systemic lupus erythematosus (JSLE) in order to detect potential predictors of reduction in bone mass. A cross-sectional study of BMD at the lumbar spine level (L2-L4) was conducted on 16 female JSLE patients aged 6-17 years. Thirty-two age-matched healthy girls were used as control. BMD at the lumbar spine was me...

OBJECTIVE To compare bone mineral density in patients with juvenile-onset Systemic lupus erythematosus and healthy controls. PARTICIPANTS Serial bone mineral density measurements in 27 patients with juvenile-onset systemic lupus were compared to 97 healthy age-matched controls. RESULTS All patients with juvenile-onset had low bone mineral density scores at initial assessment that progressed...

OBJECTIVE To evaluate bone mineral density and biochemical parameters of bone metabolism in ambulatory premenopausal female patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). METHODS 30 women who fulfilled the ARA criteria for the classification of SLE were studied. Lumbar and femoral bone mineral density was determined by dual energy x ray absorptiometry. Various laboratory parameters includi...
